Time of Supply in case of delay in issue of Invoice

e can be a situation when the goods are supplied and invoice is raised after a considerable time period. In this regard Rule 55(4) of CGST Rules 2017 is worth noting – Rule 55(4) of CGST Rules 2017 reads as under:- Where the goods being transported are for the purpose of supply to the recipient but the tax invoice could not be issued at the time of removal of goods for the purpose of supply,the supplier shall issue a tax invoice after delivery of goods. By applying this rule the date of issue of invoice in the above case shall be the date on which invoice was raised after removal of goods.
