New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed the Congress on Wednesday, accusing the opposition party of organising the “Ghuspaithiya Bachao” yatra to “protect infiltrators” in a bid to win elections with their support.
\nShah was speaking at the Thyagaraj Stadium here. He inaugurated 17 public-welfare schemes of the Delhi government on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday.

\nThe Congress and other opposition parties have alleged that the exercise is aimed at depriving people of their right to vote.
\nShah also announced the inauguration of the Narela-Bawana Waste-to-Energy Plant in Delhi that will process 3,000 tons of waste, alongside the Okhla plant handling 2,000 metric tons, to generate electricity, boosting the circular economy and green energy.
\nHe said the Modi government is going to generate electricity from the massive garbage mounds that once shamed the people of Delhi.
\nThe home minister said regardless of the party that governed the national capital, Modi always provided more than what was due, without any discrimination.
