It includes outsourced activities that may or may not culminate into manufacture. The term Job-work itself explains the meaning. It is processing of goods supplied by the principal. The concept of job-work already exists in Central Excise, wherein a principal manufacturer can send inputs or semi-finished goods to a job worker for further processing. Many facilities, procedural concessions have been given to the job workers as well as the principal supplier who sends goods for job-work. The whole idea is to make the principal responsible for meeting compliances on behalf of the job-worker on the goods processed by him (job-worker), considering the fact that typically the job-workers are small persons who are unable to comply with the discrete provisions of the law. The responsibility for keeping proper accounts for the inputs or capital goods shall lie with the principal.<br \/>\nAccounts &#038; records<br \/>\nThe responsibility for keeping proper accounts for the inputs or capital goods shall lie with the principal.<br \/>\nChallan<br \/>\n * All goods sent for job work must be accompanied by a challan.<br \/>\n * The challan will be issued by the principal.<br \/>\n * It will be issued even for the inputs or capital goods sent directly to the job-worker.<br \/>\n * The details of challans must be shown in FORM GSTR-1.<br \/>\n * Details of challans must also be filed through Form GST ITC-04.<br \/>\nThe challan issued must include the following particulars:<br \/>\n * Date and number of the delivery challan<br \/>\n * Name, address and GSTIN of the consigner and consignee<br \/>\n * HSN code, description and quantity of goods<br \/>\n * Taxable value, tax rate, tax amount- CGST, SGST, IGST, UTGST separately<br \/>\n * Place of supply and signature<br \/>\nInput Tax credit on goods supplied to job worker<br \/>\nSection 19 of the <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">=  =  =  =  =  =  =  =<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>Plain text (Extract) only<\/strong><BR>For full text:-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxtmi.com\/article\/detailed?id=7890\">Visit the Source <\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">=  =  =  =  =  =  =  =<\/p>\n<p>quarter. He must include the details of challans in respect of the following-<br \/>\n * Goods dispatched to a job worker or<br \/>\n * Received from a job worker or<br \/>\n * Sent from one job worker to another<br \/>\nIt must be furnished on or before 25th day of the month succeeding the quarter. For example, for Oct-Dec quarter, the due date is 25th Jan.<br \/>\nExtended meaning of input<br \/>\nAs per the explanation provided in Section 143 of the CGST Act, 2017, where certain process is carried out on the input before removal of the same to the jobworker, such product after carrying out the process is to be referred as the intermediate product. Such intermediate product can also be removed without the payment of tax.
